The Texas Rangers  2016 Spring Training schedule offers 33 spring training games in 2016, including 29 Cactus League contests.

The schedule includes a pair of exhibition games with the Cleveland Indians at Globe Life Park in Arlington to close the spring schedule on Friday, April 1 (7:05 p.m. CT) and Saturday, April 2 (1:05 p.m. CT). It will mark the second straight season that the club has hosted exhibition games versus a major league team in Arlington to close the spring training slate.

The club's spring training schedule also includes two games with the World Champion Kansas City Royals in the fourth annual H-E-B Big League Weekend series at the Alamodome in San Antonio on Friday, March 18 (7:05 p.m. CT) and Saturday, March 19 (2:05 p.m. CT).

Texas' 29-game Arizona schedule features 16 contests at Surprise Stadium/Billy Parker Field. The Rangers will be the home team for 14 of those games and will be the visiting club for two contests against the Royals, who share the Surprise complex with Texas. Those two teams will play three times overall in Surprise in 2015, opening the spring schedule with consecutive Royals home games: Wednesday, March 2, which is the Surprise Sundancers Charity Game and Thursday, March 3. Texas will be the home team for the final spring meeting between the clubs on Wednesday, March 30.

In addition, the Rangers will play the Arizona Diamondbacks, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Cleveland Indians, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland A's, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and Seattle Mariners once each in Surprise. At the other Cactus League parks, the team has two games with the A's and one each with the Diamondbacks, White Sox, Reds, Indians, Rockies, Angels, Dodgers, Brewers, Padres, Giants, and Mariners.

Texas will play night games in Surprise with Milwaukee on Thursday, March 17 and with San Diego on Friday, March 25, both at 6:05 p.m. MT. All other Rangers games in Surprise will begin at 1:05 p.m. MT with the exception of the final Cactus League game versus Kansas City on Wednesday, March 30, a 12:05 p.m. MT start.

2016 individual ticket prices for Texas Rangers games at Surprise Stadium: Lower Premium--$30.00; Lower Dugout--$29.00; Upper Dugout--$26.00; Infield--$25.00; Plaza--$19.00; and Lawn--$8.00. The Rangers-Cubs game on March 23 will be a Premium Game with ticket prices ranging from $13.00-35.00. Full season, half season, and 7-game ticket packages are also available as well as group ticket packages. Parking is free to all games at Surprise Stadium.

There are14 regulation practice fields, 10,500-seat stadium, two clubhouses, training buildings, aquatic and recreation center
Surprise Stadium is located at 15850 N. Bullard Ave. in Surprise, Arizona. Kansas City based HOK Sports designed the 10,500-seat facility, which officially opened on Dec. 7, 2002. Field dimensions are 350 feet down the lines, 379 feet in the power alleys and 400 feet to center field.

Directions
Surprise Stadium is located 1 1/2 miles west of the intersection of Bell Road and Grand Avenue (U.S. Route 60). Bullard Avenue is located off of Bell Road, 1 1/2 miles west of Grand Avenue, or 2 1/2 miles east of Loop 303.
