The 2008 Spring Training schedule season starts for the Cards on Wednesday, Feb. 27, , at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, FL, with a game against St. Louis University. Their first Grapefruit League home game is two days later on Leap Day, Feb. 29, against the Mets. The Cardinals spring competition wraps up with two exhibition games in Springfield, Mo., against the club's Double-A affiliate on March 28 and 29.

The Cardinals will play 19 games at Roger Dean Stadium, including the college tilt and four games as the visiting team against the Florida Marlins, co-tenants of the spring training complex in Jupiter. In all, the Cards will square off with the Marlins seven times this spring, including their only night game with a split squad game slated for 7:05 p.m. March 5 as the road team vs. Florida. The Cards will continue their spring tradition with the Atlanta Braves, with back-to-back games against the N.L. East foes on March 9 and 10 at Disney followed by a return engagement March 16 and 17 at Jupiter.

The 2008 spring schedule features two games with the Minnesota Twins, at Jupiter on March 22 and in Ft. Myers March 24. The Cardinals play the New York Mets (two home) and Baltimore Orioles (three home) a total of five times each and will also face the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers this spring. This coming spring marks the 11th year that the Cardinals will train at Roger Dean Stadium.
