The Seattle Mariners 2010 Spring Training includes 33 games beginning on Wednesday afternoon, March 3 against the San Francisco Giants at the Mariners spring home, the Peoria (AZ) Sports Complex.

The Cactus League expands to 15 teams in 2010, as the Cincinnati Reds join the Cleveland Indians in Goodyear, AZ. The Mariners will face the Reds twice - in Goodyear on March 19 and in Peoria on March 26.

The Mariners will play a total of 17 games in Peoria next spring, including two when the Padres are designated the home team. After the opener against the Giants, the Mariners and Padres, who share the Peoria ballpark, will play four consecutive days, March 4-7 (Thursday-Sunday). The annual charity game on March 4 benefits several local causes in the Peoria area (including the American Cancer Society, Homeward Bound, Teen Lifeline Inc., Challenger Space Center, Arizona Swing Kids, as well as local schools, summer camps, and food banks).

Three night games (7:05 pm) are scheduled in Arizona, including the March 17 game against the Rangers in Peoria, the March 19 game against the Reds in Goodyear and the March 24 game against the Padres in Peoria.

After breaking camp on April 1, the Mariners will leave Arizona to play two games in Albuquerque, NM, at Isotopes Park against the Colorado Rockies on April 2-3. The exhibition season concludes with a Sunday, April 4 game at AT&T Park in San Francisco against the Giants.

The regular season opener is set for Monday, April 5 at Oakland against the Athletics.
