The Cincinnati Reds hold their spring training in Sarasota, Florida. Ed Smith Stadium is home to the Cincinnati Reds home 2009 spring training schedule. This will be the Reds last year of Spring Training in Sarasota, Fla and they will be moving to Arizona for the 2010 Cactus League Season.

This year's schedule includes two visits each from the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. The Reds first home game is against the AL Champs Tampa Bay Rays on the road at the Rays new Spring Training home down the road in Port Charlotte, FL. In addition to the season opener, the Reds will meet the Tampa Bay Rays a total of 5 times.

Ticket prices for Reds 2009 spring training games are $16 for box seats, $14 for reserved seats and $9 for general admission. This spring there will be six Premium games at Ed Smith Stadium, including afternoon exhibitions against the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies (February 27), New York Yankees (March 1, March 31) and Boston Red Sox (March 25) in addition to home night games against the Red Sox (March 19) and Minnesota Twins (March 26). Prices are $2.00 more for Premium Games.

Located at Ed Smith Stadium. 2700 12th Street at the corner of Tuttle Ave. Plenty of paid parking at the ballpark. Day games start at 1:05 PM and night games at 7:05 PM Practices start at 9 a.m. at Ed Smith Stadium and Sarasota Sports Complex, before exhibitions begin. Minor leaguers practice at Sarasota Sports Complex The ballpark was completed in 1989. 340 feet to left field; 340 feet to right field; 375 feet to alleys; 400 feet to center Seating Capacity: 7,500. Parking is paid at the park.
From North: Exit I-75 at University Parkway; go west on University to Tuttle; turn left and head south on Tuttle; stadium is located on the right at the intersection of 12th and Tuttle. From South: Exit I-75 at Fruitville Road; go west on Fruitville to Tuttle; turn right on Tuttle to 12th; the stadium is on the left.
